Calling all makers!

As part of our Culture Matters project, we are looking to recruit 2 x Artist/Makers to deliver inclusive workshops/activities aimed a young people aged 11 – 18 at Liverpool MakeFest 2017 on Saturday 24th June. The workshops/activities can be in any creative medium but should be suitable for young people with a range of learning needs or easy to adapt in order to meet such needs. The workshops/activities can either be pre-booked workshops (i.e. a set number of participants for a set length – 3 x 1 hour workshops for 4 young people per workshop) or drop-in activities (i.e. any young person attending MakeFest can drop by and ‘have a go’). The total value of the commission is £500.00 inclusive of all expenses, resources and travel. Artists who have already applied to MakeFest and have been confirmed or are awaiting confirmation, are still eligible to apply for this commission.

As part of this role, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Deliver creative activities as part of MakeFest 2017 (and source relevant materials etc.)
  2. Contribute to the evaluation/monitoring of the project (i.e. ensuring participants fill in feedback forms)
  3. Support the communications and marketing activities of the project (i.e. promoting your role in the project through your online and offline networks).

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 10th May. Applications should be emailed to Shortlisted applicants will be notified via email by Wednesday 17th May. Interviews will be held on either 20th May or 3rd June. Please only apply if you can attend the interview dates and MakeFest2017. For the interview you will be asked to deliver a short 10 min creative session or presentation on what you intend to deliver at MakeFest 2017, and then participate in a 5 min informal Q&A with the interview panel.
