The geo-map below is a digital creation produced for the Sacred Spaces, Sanctuary collaboration. Sacred Spaces, Sanctuary is a multi-arts research & development project funded primarily by Arts Council England that explores the cultural, artistic and human connection with Sacred Land, nature, green and blue spaces and the environment. As part of this project, artists working in creative writing, performance, ceramics, theatre, costume, digital art and coding are using these mediums to explore the concept of Sacred Spaces on an international level.
The geo-map is a curated collection of audio stories and micro films from across the world about the spaces, places, and lands that are important to people, the reasons why they matter and what they mean to individuals and communities alike. Together these stories and creative expressions produce an international dialogue on the concept of ‘sacred spaces’, providing a range of perspectives that paint a vivid picture of the different physical and metaphysical sites have in our identity, well-being and narratives. The audio stories and micro-films have been crowd-sourced from a range of individuals and projects and curated, edited and presented by wehearttech C.I.C.
